Special Friends at Brookwood is hosting a Fall Hoedown for special needs individuals age 14 and up. We plan to provide an evening for our guests filled with memories that will last a life time. The Hoedown will include dinner, dancing, hayrides, karaoke, photo booth and live music.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum age to volunteer is 14.

BACKGROUND CHECK/SEXUAL ABUSE TRAINING

A background check and sexual abuse prevention training is required every three years for all volunteers 18 years of age and older.

MANDATORY TRAINING

Volunteers are required to attend one of the following training sessions:

  • TBD.
  • Childcare is not available.

REGISTER FOR ONE OF THE FOLLOWING VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

Buddy As a Buddy, you'll be a guest's host during the entire evening – including eating dinner, conversation, Hay rides, dancing, karaoke, etc.
Cleanup Team Volunteers will take down decorations, tables, chairs and clean up the event space once the Hoedown is over.
Deaf Interpreter Volunteers will provide assistance to our hearing impaired guests.
Decorations Team Volunteers will assist with setting up and decorating all areas on the day of the event.
Greeters/Ushers Volunteers will welcome guests as they arrive, and help them find their way to the main event space, activities, and restrooms.
Hay Ride Team Volunteers will assist guests take Hay rides around the Brookwood Parking Lot.
