Parent Chat

Date/Time:

Sunday, April 26
4–6 pm

Location:
Chapel

Details:

Are you a parent or a grandparent who wants to have a greater understanding of the technological world our children live in? Do you want to know how to protect your child from the online culture?  Many parents say they need help with how to parent kids who are always using technology. Parents feel overwhelmed, under-equipped, and mostly lost.

Speaker Matt McKee*, author of Parent Chat: The Technology Talk For Every Family, will offer hope to parents while talking about what questions to ask, what matters most, and fighting the fear that comes with kids knowing more about gadgets than they do. Technology can be hacked, but the lasting relationship that comes from the parent-child bond cannot.

  • Childcare is available. Information on how to register will be provided in the confirmation email.

*Matt is the Founder and CEO of The Spire Firm and author of Be Social: The Social Media Handbook.  Additionally, he is also a Strategy Consultant for The reThink Group and Advisory Board member of Circle with Disney. Matt will share practical ways to begin conversations with kids about technology and how to set boundaries for them to safely use that technology.

Registration is open through Saturday, April 25.
