Thomas McAfee Funeral Home presents this yearly seminar to assist individuals in their grieving process by providing valuable insights and offering a range of aftercare resources. 

Keynote speaker: Dr. Jill Harrington
Dr. Jill A. Harrington, DSW, LCSW, MBA has been a practicing social worker for over 24 years and is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She also maintains a small, active clinical counseling practice in the Washington, DC area. She is one of the first published authors on the subject of bereavement in U.S. military families, and throughout her career has focused on how trauma, loss and bereavement intersect.

Evening Session for General Public: "Superhero Grief: Growing Through Trauma and Loss". There is hope after experiencing the death of someone you love or another traumatic loss.
